That's a phrase that I haven't heard since last Big Ride - one of Alan's identifying phrases.
Today was a great day for me. Most of the first 1/3 of the ride was flat to slightly rolling. Peter would have been proud of me – without trying too hard, I was maintaining a 19-20 mph average. The only drawback was that it was kind of boring. The part that really dragged me down was Seven Devils Road, which had some nasty, slow climbs. People’s knees are having a hard time of it. As I’ve been doing, I got in and washed my bike shorts. I was in by 2 – hung out yesterday’s shorts – NOTHING dried, even though there was sun, and I pulled everything in before the heavy 
dew fell....it is ridiculous here.
